The Team Leader – Client Administration plays a vital role in upholding our commitment to ethical business practices, delivering an exceptional client service, ensuring complete records, liaising with, but not limited to, local authorities, law firms, auditors. This role involves being responsible for the day-to-day matters of the operational team of Marlin Mercantile and coaching the operations team.
Key Responsibilities:
•Responsible for a portfolio of clients – Trusts, GBCs, ACs, Foreign companies, Foundations.
•Deliver an outstanding client service by promptly attending to queries and providing clear responses.
•Completing client tasks in a timely manner
•Oversee and ensure client files are complete, up to date and compliant with the AML/CFT framework.
•Ensure billing is processed on time
•Ensure debtors are being monitored
•Coordinate and facilitate trustee and/or board meetings
•Contribute towards the effectiveness and efficiency of the day-to-day operations.
•Ensure time sheets are completed in a timely manner.
Key Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or a related field.
•Professional qualifications such as STEP, ICSA or ACCA will be an advantage.
•Minimum 5-6 years of experience in client administration in the global business sector, preferably with a management company.
•Proven expertise in trust and corporate administration including GBCs, ACs, Trusts, Foundations, Domestic and foreign companies.
•Strong understanding of FSC regulations, Registrar of Companies requirements, FIAMLA, the Companies Act, Trust Act, Foundations Act, and corporate governance frameworks.
•Good background in client relationship management and a pleasant personality to build and nurture client relationships.
•Ability to coach team members.
•Ability to identify, assess and mitigate risks related to day-to-day client transactions and client structures.
•Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, reflecting Marlin Mercantile’s commitment to relationship-driven service.
•A proactive mindset, capable of anticipating and mitigating risks before they arise.
•Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team that values excellence, ethics, and efficiency.
