DHL Global Forwarding Mauritius has an opening for an Operations Supervisor where you will lead a team of OPS Freight Specialists to efficiently execute OPS activities while ensuring adherence to service promises and regulatory standards. Focus on maximizing GP and productivity, fostering customer-centric culture, managing the ownership of OPS responsibilities to drive financial performance. Act as the primary escalation point for any OPS exceptions. Regular performance evaluations and proactive monitoring are essential to identify and implement improvements.. In this Operations Supervisor position
- To own and manage OPS processes in strict adherence to DGF business strategy, objectives, corporate guidelines, policies, procedures and instructions;
- To own and be responsible for corresponding portions of PnL – including GP generation and related DOE management.
- To own and be responsible for delivering proper service quality and operational excellence in adherence to OPS KPIs set;
- Ensure achievement of Productivity targets and ensure accurate job management control to ensure GP maximization on every file.
- To ensure OPS compliance with legislation, Industry and Internal DGF policies and standards;
- To participate in customer solutions development and implementation of new accounts.
- Drive growth in related markets while driving customer satisfaction and retention through regular customer visits & calls.
- To ensure optimal utilization of available resources to meet service standards.
- To maintain executive level customers relationships, research customer needs and monitor customer satisfaction.
- To maintain relationships with Network, contractors and suppliers.
- To evaluate, own, steer and be responsible for suppliers and contractors’ performance; to propose solutions to improve this performance.
- To support Product with development of solutions for RFQs/tenders.
- To ensure timely processing of invoices and related documentation in line with DGF financial controls
- To Resolve and analyze issues in day-to-day delivery and implement practices for OPS focusing on increasing productivity and efficiency;
- To ensure continuous improvement by implementation and proper usage of First Choice, Station Improvements and other DGF tools.
- To manage operational planning on specific projects (urgent projects).
- To act as first level escalation point for all OPS issues.
- To Mentor Operations and request support from related support functions (BPO / IT / IMPAT / Finance / etc) wherever it is needed for proper Service delivery.
- Develop a high-performance service culture within the functional department.
- Plan, organize and direct and efficient and effective functional department.
- Develop KPIs with team members and monitor individual performance.
- Consult performance appraisal.
- Manage the allocation of appropriate resources and commitment of staff to the achievement of Global, Regional and Country objectives and targets.
- Identify training needs and opportunities to develop a highly skilled functional department.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in different areas of Operations;
- Deep knowledge of forwarding business;
- Good knowledge of CW1 and other DGF applications;
- Strong analytical skills and good communication skills;
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Strong problem-solving mentality;
- Excellent command of both English & French languages (both written and verbal);
- Proven ability to work under pressure and a demonstrated ability to use own initiative;
