Responsible for assisting and supporting the reporting related to operations. Preparing accounts, budgets and forecasts and managing financial information.

 

Essential Functions

  • Assisting with month end reporting in HFM:
    • Closing consolidation of all operations
    • Drafting monthly consolidation journals
    • Ensuring Group intercompany balances are in balance
    • Attend to reporting related queries
    • Liaising with operations
    • Attend to HY and YE reporting
    • Give training as and when required to operations
    • Ensure IFRS compliance as well as good corporate governance by operations
  • Assisting with financial / accounting compliance, proper internal control and reporting of head office and development assets:
    • Suggest and implement updates and improvements processes, and identify areas of optimisation
    • Ensure IFRS compliance as well as good corporate governance
    • Closing and reporting of monthly accounts
    • Drafting of month end journals
    • Intercompany recharges to operations including assistance with queries pertaining to monthly transactions passed with sites
    • Ensure intercompany balances are in balance
    • Manage fixed asset registers
    • Liaising with tax department to address SARS related queries
    • Submission of balance sheet reconciliations monthly
    • Assistance with preparation of cash call
    • Assistance with ad hoc preparation of presentations and summaries when required
    • Assistance with preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
    • Assistance with HY and YE reporting
    • Assistance with external audits, and preparation of financial statements
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, Excel dashboards, automated reporting tools to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Ad hoc tasks / projects required by management
  • Administrative tasks
Knowledge & Experience
  • CA (SA), ACCA or equivalent
  • Articles done at one of the big 4 audit firms
  • Max 2 years post articles
  • Good academic background
  • Oracle HFM- to your advantage
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
  • Strong IFRS knowledge and experience
