Warehouse Helper

The Warehouse Helper supports daily warehouse operations by assisting with the handling, movement, storage, and organization of goods. The role ensures efficiency, cleanliness, safety, and accuracy in warehouse activities while supporting storekeeping, logistics, and dispatch operations

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Assist in loading and unloading goods from delivery vehicles.
• Help with receiving, sorting, and storing goods in designated warehouse locations.
• Support Store Attendants and Forklift Drivers during stock handling operations.
• Perform manual handling of goods in compliance with safety procedures.
• Assist in picking, packing, and preparing goods for dispatch.
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and safety of warehouse areas at all times.
• Help in arranging and labeling goods for easy identification.
• Assist with stock counts and inventory checks when required.
• Report damaged goods, shortages, or discrepancies to the Line Manager.
• Follow workplace health and safety rules and company policies.
• Carry out basic warehouse housekeeping tasks.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Line Manager.

Technical Competencies:  

• Basic understanding of warehouse operation.
• Knowledge of safe manual handling practices
• Ability to assist with packing, labelling, and stock arrangement
• Familiarity with basic warehouse tools and equipment (added advantage)
