JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Student Records Assistant
Campus: Mauritius Branch Campus
Reporting to:Head of Student Administration
Overall, Purpose:
The post holder will support the Head of Student Administration by assisting in all aspects of the student records management, including enrolment, module registration, and status changes throughout the student lifecycle. He/she will contribute to the efficient operation of the student records system by assisting with database management, ensuring data accuracy, and helping to streamline workflows where possible. Additionally, the post holder will support the maintenance and integrity of student data, including achievement tracking, progression and continuation data, and attendance monitoring.
Principal Duties:
- To work with the Head of Student Administration to ensure seamless and efficient service delivery to all stakeholders
- To contribute to the enhancement of the processes and procedures of the student administration, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement
- To develop and maintain an excellent understanding of the university’s regulations
- To be responsible for operational delivery of student records, to ensure any barriers linked to enrolment, assessment and transition for students are mitigated against. This will be achieved by working with stakeholders to ensure:
- Programme and modules are setup up in MISIS in accordance with the validated documents.
- To help with the design and production of the academic timetable which optimizes resources and recognises the needs and interests of a range of stakeholders across the university
- Students are successfully enrolled, and onboarding processes are seamless
- Student records accurately reflect the stage students are at, and that any changes are managed holistically
- To maintain accurate records and databases and develop reporting to support operational effectiveness in line with outlined policy.
- To generate and analyse reports to inform decision-making.
- To ensure data privacy and security rules and policy are adhered to.
- Other tasks that may be required by the Head of Student Administration, with particular reference to major events such as examination, invigilation and graduation ceremonies, when all campus staff are expected to participate.

- The post-holder will carry out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by the line manager.
