Project Manager – Property Development

Position Overview
The Project Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of property development projects from inception to completion. The role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and financial acumen to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage the full project lifecycle – from feasibility study, design coordination, and permitting, through to construction, delivery, and handover.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and local authorities.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
• Prepare and monitor tender documents, contracts, and procurement processes.
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and design specifications.
• Report on project progress, risks, and variances to senior management.
• Manage change orders and cost control measures.
• Ensure compliance with local building regulations, environmental standards, and health & safety requirements.
• Oversee project documentation and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications & Experience
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years’ proven experience in project management within the property development or construction sector.
• Strong understanding of project planning, budgeting, and contract management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and team coordination skills.
• Proficient in project management tools and Microsoft Office suite (knowledge of MS Project or equivalent is an advantage).
• Familiarity with Mauritian construction standards and regulatory procedures will be an asset.
