We are looking for an IT Manager for one of our clients.

Responsiblities

 

  • Manage information technology and computer systems
  • Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
  • Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness
  • Responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure including server and network.
  • Providing effective day-to-day support to the users on hardware and software related issues.
  • Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
  • Participation in research and recommendation of improved infrastructure processes and technologies to include growth planning;
  • Track license and support contracts to include notification of renewal timeframe to management;
  • Develop & implement local security ICT policies, rules and procedures. Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
  • Test new and existing equipment and applications and provide thorough feedback
  • Maintaining documentation of processes, procedures and troubleshooting guides

 

  • Required Skills, Education, And Competencies

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in information technology or computer science and information systems
  • 5+ years experiences  in an business office environment
  • IT experience in SQL, Oracle, VBA, Access database and in Microsoft office applications
  • Experience in working with ERP
  • Holder of a valid Driving License
  • Living in the south or in the vicinities of Grand-Port
  • Excellent working knowledge of up-to-date desktop applications
  • Strong project management and communication skills (written and oral presentation)
  • Ability to uncover, understand and evaluate business and technology needs
  • Demonstrate a high level of autonomy and resourcefulness
  • Must be a self-starter, adaptable to new concepts and exhibit a strong initiative
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbally and written)
  • Ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple projects
  • Must be self-directed, dependable and punctual
  • Possess a high level of professionalism and have excellent follow-through skills
  • Must be highly organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and decision-making under pressure
  • Must possess a strong business acumen and high level of confidence
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
  • Ready to do the extra miles when required
