Responsiblities
- Manage information technology and computer systems
- Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
- Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness
- Responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure including server and network.
- Providing effective day-to-day support to the users on hardware and software related issues.
- Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
- Participation in research and recommendation of improved infrastructure processes and technologies to include growth planning;
- Track license and support contracts to include notification of renewal timeframe to management;
- Develop & implement local security ICT policies, rules and procedures. Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
- Test new and existing equipment and applications and provide thorough feedback
- Maintaining documentation of processes, procedures and troubleshooting guides
- Required Skills, Education, And Competencies
- Bachelor’s Degree in information technology or computer science and information systems
- 5+ years experiences in an business office environment
- IT experience in SQL, Oracle, VBA, Access database and in Microsoft office applications
- Experience in working with ERP
- Holder of a valid Driving License
- Living in the south or in the vicinities of Grand-Port
- Excellent working knowledge of up-to-date desktop applications
- Strong project management and communication skills (written and oral presentation)
- Ability to uncover, understand and evaluate business and technology needs
- Demonstrate a high level of autonomy and resourcefulness
- Must be a self-starter, adaptable to new concepts and exhibit a strong initiative
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbally and written)
- Ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple projects
- Must be self-directed, dependable and punctual
- Possess a high level of professionalism and have excellent follow-through skills
- Must be highly organized with a strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
- Ability to exercise good judgment and decision-making under pressure
