Executive Director

The Executive Director will lead JA Mascareignes in achieving its mission, reporting to the Board of Directors and ensuring effective governance, program excellence, and sustainable growth. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of youth entrepreneurship in Mauritius and the region.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Governance:

• Lead and manage JA Mascareignes and its staff in line with organizational policies and JA Worldwide standards
• Work with the Board of Directors on strategic planning, governance, and organizational growth

Fundraising & Partnerships:

• Develop and implement local and international fundraising strategies
• Engage business leaders, donors, government authorities, and volunteers to secure resources
• Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to enhance organizational impact

Program Management & Quality:

• Ensure successful planning and delivery of JA programs
• Oversee program monitoring to maintain high-quality implementation
• Drive growth while upholding JA Worldwide Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Visibility & Advocacy:

• Represent JA Mascareignes publicly and promote its brand and mission
• Engage with community, government, and industry partners

Financial & Administrative Oversight:

• Oversee budgeting, financial management, audits, compliance, and risk management
• Ensure effective human resources, office management, and operational systems

Board & Personnel Management:

• Support the Board through meetings, reporting, and recruitment of new members
• Recruit, coach, and evaluate staff to ensure a high-performing team

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong leadership and team management experience
• Proven networking and stakeholder engagement skills
• Knowledge of entrepreneurship and youth development
• Strategic thinker with a commitment to quality and excellence
• Proficiency in English, French, and Mauritian Creole
