From a core sugar-based operation, we have expanded into the cultivation of potatoes, onions, carrots, eucalyptus and palm heart, as well as the establishment of a 3-hectare nursery, among other initiatives.
Beau Vallon Agri-Business is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Administrative Officer to join our team. You will be key in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and effective coordination across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. General Administration
- Handle day-to-day office operations and visitor enquiries.
- Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
- Maintain confidential files and ensure procedures and deadlines are followed.
2. Procurement & Inventory
- Prepare purchase requests and follow up with suppliers.
- Manage inventory of office supplies, tools, and PPE.
- Track deliveries and resolve supply issues.
3. Accounting & Payroll Support
- Monitor invoices and follow up on related payments.
- Maintain accurate records for payroll, attendance and overtime sheets.
- Work with the finance team on procurement and admin expenses.
4. Communication & Coordination
- Act as a link between HR, Finance, and Operations teams.
- Ensure smooth communication and assist with internal initiatives.
- Support community outreach and fundraising efforts.
5. Field & Contractor Admin
- Data entry and record-keeping for internal and contractual workforce.
- Follow up on administrative tasks related to workforce management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Fluent in French and English (spoken and written).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with great attention to detail.
- Proactive and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- A valid driver’s license is preferred, along with access to a personal vehicle.
