Role Overview:
The Junior Accountant will support the Finance department with day-to-day accounting functions, reconciliations, financial reporting tasks, and administrative finance duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Post and process journal entries in accordance with accounting standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities.
- Reconciliations
- Perform daily cash, bank, mobile money, and payment provider reconciliations.
- Reconcile gaming platform transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, wagers, wins bonuses, and payouts.
- Payables & Receivables
- Process vendor invoices and assist with payment preparation.
- Maintain organized documentation and audit trails for all transactions.
- Reporting, Management Accounts & Analysis
- Assist in preparing weekly and monthly financial reports.
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Assist with budget preparation and forecasting exercises.
- Support variance analysis and profitability tracking for operations.
- Provide data for regulatory and compliance reporting.
- Internal Controls & Compliance
- Assist with year-end audits, including preparation of schedules and supporting documents.
- Contribute to improving processes and streamlining financial workflows.
Skills & Competencies

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
- 0–2 years of accounting experience (internships or similar roles acceptable).
- Experience in gaming, fintech, or high-volume transaction environments is an advantage.
- Familiarity with digital wallets and payment providers.
