WELDER

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our team. The Welder will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and equipment through the use of welders, cutters, shapers, and measuring tools.

• Using and maintaining the tools of the trade.
• Taking necessary safety precautions.
• Dealing with electrodes in general use and preparing all work for welding.
• Carrying out all forms of welds in mild steel structural steel and using an  oxyacetylene torch and electrics arc welding for simple cutting and welding down hand.
• Using on oxyacetylene flame for all welding and cutting purposes.
• Working from simple drawing and sketches.
• Carrying out all forms of welding in all thicknesses of materials.
• Making welds in oblique, vertical and up-hand positions.
• Adopting correct measures to avoid under-cutting, expansion and contraction.
• Recognizing different metals and selecting the most suitable electrodes for welding.
• Welding with submerged arc welding set.
• Making dimensioned free-hand sketches and reading and interpreting any drawings.
• Carrying out all welding jobs according to the strictest procedures.
