Trainee Production Officer

Performs daily routine tasks for the production and other departments, as directed by more senior production department staff.

• Ensure good operation and maintenance of the factory during the shift (including day and night).
• Supervise the bagging operation during the day/night.
• Troubleshooting of mechanical/electrical issues during the shift.
• Ensure optimum production and quality on an 8-hour shift schedule.
• Ascertain that all process parameters and KPIs of the factory including Quality Policies and Health and Safety are adhered to.
• Perform proper handing over during shift change to ensure smooth factory operations.
• Liaise with other departments for optimal operations.
• Ensure minimum overloads and spillages.
• Work in collaboration with the maintenance department for corrective actions and Sunday repairs planning.
• Fully assist the Production Manager in managing and leading the team of Batching operators and other factory employees of the production departments.
• Plan, coordinate, control, report and keep records of the overall round the clock activities within the production department.
• Report to the Production Manager any problem, incident, accident and/or unusual situation which may occur in the course of your duties while supervising the production department.
• To collect, regularly or as per schedule, samples of feed and remit same to appropriate parties.
• To perform physical stock count and stock re-evaluation.
• Fill in and send production reports with precise details.
• Check the daily production plan and communicate accordingly for any changes in production.
• Any other cognate duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
