The Trainee Engineer will work on various initiatives linked to carbon finance within the framework of sustainable development programs.

 

Main duties:

  • Preparation of project design documents for verification and validation by third party institutions.
  • Prepare and maintain project monitoring reports to track operational and ESG key performance indicators (KPIs) in view of registration of clean energy and carbon emissions reduction initiatives, on the global carbon market.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, such as certification, validation and verification bodies to ensure documentation aligns with international climate centered standards.
  • Review and Update the Environmental Social Monitoring Plan of activities related to emissions reduction. 
  • Monitoring of all the environmental and social impact parameters as well as activities centered UNSDGs 

PROFILE:

  • Degree in Environmental/ Civil/ Chemical/ Mechanical Engineering.
  • Interest and/or knowledge in Net-Zero, ESG, Sustainability reporting, GSG accounting.
  • Outstanding listening and communication skills that will inspire confidence in others and motivate the right action.
  • Be a team player and bring positive energy to the room. 
  • Strong skills in MS Office applications.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and report writing skills.
  • Flexible, well organised and resourceful to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
