As Security Supervisor, you will ensure the safety of guests, staff, and property by leading security operations, managing the team, responding to incidents, and enforcing safety standards. The role requires strong leadership and calm, effective decision-making under pressure.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Supervising Security Staff
Manage and coordinate the daily activities of security guards and officers.
Create duty rosters, assign shifts, and ensure adequate coverage.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and conflict resolution among the team.
2. Monitoring Security Systems
Oversee the use of surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and access control systems.
Respond to security breaches, alarms, and other emergency situations.
3. Training and Development
Train new security personnel on company policies, procedures, and emergency response.
Conduct regular drills and refresher training for ongoing staff development.
4. Incident Response and Reporting
Respond promptly to incidents such as theft, vandalism, trespassing, or accidents.
Investigate disturbances and write detailed incident reports.
Liaise with law enforcement or emergency services when needed.
5. Ensuring Compliance
Enforce company rules and regulations.
Ensure that all security operations comply with legal and ethical standards.
6. Risk Assessment and Prevention
Identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
Recommend and implement preventative measures.
7. Patrolling
Conduct random inspections or patrols of the premises to deter unauthorized activity.
Ensure security posts are manned and equipment is functioning properly.
8. Customer and Staff Interaction
Assist employees, visitors, or clients with security-related issues.
Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional security presence.
9. Administrative Tasks
Maintain records of security activities, attendance, and incident logs.
Manage security budgets, equipment inventory, and resource allocation.
10. Emergency Preparedness
Develop and implement emergency response procedures.
Coordinate evacuation drills and safety awareness programs.
