To ensure effective receipt, storage, control and issuance of materials, tools and equipment, maintaining accurate stock records and supporting smooth site/operational activities through timely availability of items.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1) Receiving & Inspection

  • Receive materials, tools and equipment from suppliers and verify quantity, specifications and condition against delivery notes and purchase orders.

  • Report shortages, damages or non-conformities immediately and follow internal procedures for returns/replacements.

  • Ensure goods received are stored in designated locations.

2) Storage & Stock Control

  • Organize and maintain the store/warehouse in a safe, clean and systematic manner.

  • Ensure proper handling and storage of sensitive items.

3) Issuing of Materials / Tools

  • Issue materials, consumables, and tools to authorized personnel based on approved requisitions.

  • Ensure all issues/returns are properly documented, signed and recorded.

  • Monitor and control tool issuance and returns to reduce loss and misuse.

4) Record Keeping & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate stock records (bin cards, stock sheets, system entries) for receipts, issues, transfers and returns.

  • Conduct regular inventories. 

5) Coordination & Support to Sites

  • Coordinate material requests from sites and support timely preparation/dispatch of items.

  • Follow up on urgent material requirements and communicate constraints proactively.

6) Housekeeping, Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain good housekeeping and safe storage practices (stacking, access routes, fire safety).

  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, and HSE rules.

  • Participate in internal audits, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

7) Other Duties

  • Assist in identifying obsolete, damaged or slow-moving stock and propose corrective actions.

  • Perform any other related duties assigned by the reporting line/management.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum School Certificate (SC)
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years of working experience in similar position
Other Requisites
  • Good communication skills 
  • Ability to work under pressure 
  • Proactiveness 
  • Computer literate 
  • Good knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials (Electrical & Plumbing)
  • Valid driving license will be an advantage
