Storekeeper

We're looking for an experienced 'Storekeeper' to join our Retail Department in Moka.

Overview of the Role

To manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods in an efficient, safe, and organized manner. Ensure stock accuracy, minimize waste, and support smooth daily operations through proper inventory control.

Key Responsibilities

• Use the First-In, First-Out method to issue stock and regularly check expiry dates to avoid waste
• Keep all items safe and organized in the correct storage areas, including cold storage with temperature checks
• Control access to the store and make sure no items leave without proper approval and documentation
• Receive goods by checking quantity and quality against purchase orders, and report any issues to Accounts and suppliers
• Store all received items properly and ensure correct stock rotation
• Do regular stock counts, report closing stock to the Cost Controller, and help with checks in other departments when needed
• Review slow-moving items every month and take necessary actions
• Assist the accounts team by verifying deliveries and helping with supplier account statements
• Follow all store procedures and company rules (SOPs)
• Prepare and follow up on purchase requests according to the approval process

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar storekeeping or warehouse role
• Basic knowledge of inventory management and stock rotation methods
• Familiar with food safety practices and cold storage handling
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Able to work with basic computer tools (e.g. Excel, inventory systems)
