The Store Attendant is responsible to see that all merchandise received at the hotel has been properly ordered, and that the goods are in perfect condition before transmitting them to the general stores or the different departments. To prepare and issue items from stores
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities and duties for this position shall include, but not be limited to, the following areas and activities. The holder of this position may, at any time be called to perform any other cognate duties at the request of management.
Compare the invoice or receiving record accompanying the goods against purchase order and ensure the quantity and description agree.
- Organise the goods delivered to General stores or to the requisitioning department.
- The Store Attendant must keep the copies of acknowledgement receipt from respective department.
- Record Daily Receiving Summary and follow up the outstanding items immediately.
- Prepare the requisitions from every department and organize the delivery time.
- Update the stock in the system and together with the Storekeeper.
- Any goods delivered at the hotel must be justified by a purchase document (Purchase Order, Purchase Request, Market List etc).
- The Store Attendant must inspect the quality and quantity of goods received.
- All goods has to be forwarded to the general stores or to the department concerned.
- Any goods leaving the hotel such as returnable containers must be registered and verified.
- Make sure that we have enough stock for hotel operation.
- Keep cleanliness of Stores and Receiving area.
- Adhere to any policy of the department and hotel.
- Report any disciplinary and grievance matters to the Financial Controller.
- Ensures that a safe, hygienically fit working environment is maintained at all times and reports any concerns or faults immediately.
- Adhere to Occupational Safety and Health Act, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policy
- Promote energy efficiency and environment friendly actions
- Participate in training as and when required my Management
- Maintains highest levels of personal hygiene and grooming at all times, as per standard.
