C-Care International, the healthcare cluster of CIEL Group, is a private healthcare group having its head office in Mauritius.
C-Care is currently looking for a dedicated and innovative Procurement Manager to be based at C-Care Corporate Office.
The ideal candidate will lead and optimize the procurement processes for all non-clinical goods and services for C-Care (Mauritius) Ltd. The role involves assisting its L+1 in designing procurement strategies, leveraging synergies and volume discounts across all C-Care Business Units, enhancing governance, ensuring cost-efficiency, and delivering value to the Mauritius operations.
What you will be doing?
- Develop and implement procurement frameworks for non-clinical items specifically for C-Care Mauritius.
- Identify potential synergies for common products procured across BUs, even under different names or suppliers, and drive alignment for standardization and bulk negotiation opportunities.
- Lead supplier consolidation initiatives and rationalize the supplier base to ensure best value and service levels across the group.
- Conduct and manage tendering exercises for key non-clinical categories to secure competitive pricing and fixed-term agreements.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure volume discounts and favorable conditions.
- Oversee detailed analyses of procurement ledgers and historical spending patterns.
- Collaborate with the procurement analyst to identify high-impact savings opportunities.
- Develop and enforce policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to non-clinical procurement
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers to ensure service continuity, quality, and responsiveness.
- Ensure that the onboarding process for suppliers is properly adhered to and that where applicable, the ‘conflict of interest and ethical behaviour code’ document is signed by suppliers.
- Act as a key liaison between Mauritius supply chain functions, hospital administrators, finance, and legal teams.
- Manage and mentor the procurement analyst, fostering professional growth and analytical capabilities.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and proactive problem-solving within the procurement team.
What we are looking?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 3-5 years' experience in procurement roles, with a minimum 1-2 years in strategic procurement management.
- Proven track record in non-clinical procurement within healthcare, hospitality or related industry advantageous.
- Strong understanding of procurement tactics, analytics, and vendor management.
- Proficient with procurement software, analytical tools, and data interpretation.
- Certification in procurement management (e.g., CPSM, MCIPS) preferred.
