JOB SUMMARY

The Spa Therapist is responsible for providing the highest level of treatments and customer service for guests at the Wellness and Spa.

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities and duties for this position shall include, but not be limited to, the following areas and activities. The holder of this position may, at any time, be called to perform any other cognate duties at the request of management.

• To greet all internal and external guests in a gracious and courteous manner
• To answer the telephone in a professional and caring manner
• To provide visits of the USpa
• To deal with all guest inquiries, and follow up on any concerns that may arise
• To ensure that the reception area including the changing rooms and relaxation garden is at all times kept clean and in an impeccable state as according to the standards of the hotel.
• To promote, sell, and book treatments at the USpa.
• To ensure the Spa is opened and closed on a daily basis as according to the USpa standard operating procedures.
• To provide a courteous and motivating service to all guests.
• To carry out Spa body treatments on guests.
• To maintain the highest levels of personal hygiene and to ensure that the treatment rooms are maintained in an impeccable state at all times.
• To at all times be gracious and courteous.
• To provide the highest levels of pre- and post-treatment care.
• To ensure a professional and excellent guest follow-up.
• To at all times be vigilant with regard to the use of stock, and ensure minimal quantities are used.
• To promote and sell treatments.
• To liaise with Spa receptionists to ensure total guest satisfaction.
• To ensure that the daily last Beverage Service is completed according to SOP’s before USpa is closed after the night shift.
• Perform any other duties as required by Management
• Ensures that a safe, hygienically fit working environment is maintained at all times and reports any concerns or faults immediately.
• Adhere to Occupational Safety and Health Act, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policy 
• Promote energy efficiency and environment friendly actions
• Participate in training as and when required my Management
• Maintains highest levels of personal hygiene and grooming at all times, as per standard.

 CANDIDATE PROFILE

• SC or equivalent
• A minimum of 2 years experience in the hospitality industry in a similar position
• Good communication skills
• Outgoing and pleasant personality
• Team Player
• Tact and diplomacy for dealing with demanding customers
• Having a flexible approach to work
