We are seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Officer on a full time basis to promote and maintain a safe working environment across our organisation.
Main Duties
Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Act 2005
Monitor environmental protection indicators and advise Management on any issues
Carry out regular occupational safety and health audits to identify risks to safety and health, assess the need for preventive measures and advise Management accordingly
Make regular inspections on the different company premises
Organise and carry out fire drills at least once yearly
Apply for relevant permits
Recommend on specifications of suitable and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment
Compile all injury statistics and report to management on a monthly basis
Design and implement appropriate training programmes to promote safety culture
Review any measure, method, procedure or technique adopted to ensure occupational safety and health
Profile
Holder of a valid driving licence
Good knowledge of Occupational Safety & Health Act 2005 and related legislations
Good knowledge of Microsoft office tools
Good leadership and organisational skills
Good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure and meet deadlines
Qualifications
Holder of a Higher School Certificate
Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health Management or alternative equivalent qualifications
At least 3 years’ working experience as a registered Safety & Health Officer
