Safety & Health Officer

We are seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Officer on a full time basis to promote and maintain a safe working environment across our organisation.

Main Duties

• Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Act 2005
• Monitor environmental protection indicators and advise Management on any issues
• Carry out regular occupational safety and health audits to identify risks to safety and health, assess the need for preventive measures and advise Management accordingly
• Make regular inspections on the different company premises
• Organise and carry out fire drills at least once yearly
• Apply for relevant permits
• Recommend on specifications of suitable and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment
• Compile all injury statistics and report to management on a monthly basis
• Design and implement appropriate training programmes to promote safety culture
• Review any measure, method, procedure or technique adopted to ensure occupational safety and health

Profile

• Holder of a valid driving licence
• Good knowledge of Occupational Safety & Health Act 2005 and related legislations
• Good knowledge of Microsoft office tools
• Good leadership and organisational skills
• Good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure and meet deadlines

Qualifications

• Holder of a Higher School Certificate
• Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health Management or alternative equivalent qualifications
• At least 3 years’ working experience as a registered Safety & Health Officer
