Bon Marché Market is situated in Grand Baie. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily store operations, managing staff, controlling stock, and ensuring excellent customer service and food safety standards.
Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient running of the retail, coffee bar, and back-of-house areas
Lead, supervise, train, and motivate store staff to achieve operational and service standards
Prepare staff schedules, manage attendance, and control labour costs
Ensure high levels of customer service and handle customer queries or complaints professionally
Manage stock control, ordering, transfers, receiving, and inventory accuracy
Monitor wastage, shrinkage, and implement loss prevention measures
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, HACCP, and health & safety regulations
Implement and enforce company policies, SOPs, and operational procedures
Monitor sales performance, KPIs, and productivity targets
Prepare basic reports on sales, staffing, and stock levels for management
Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments when required
Ensure store cleanliness, merchandising standards, and brand presentation are maintained
Take a hands-on approach during peak trading periods
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in retail or food store management
Strong leadership and organisational skills
Experience with stock control and staff supervision
