The Sales Representative is responsible to actively seek out and engage customer prospects. The Sales Representative will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer in order to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Sell pre-owned vehicles to meet or exceed monthly targets.
- Actively follow up on leads.
- Maximize profitability per sale through effective negotiation and pricing strategies.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of all vehicles in stock.
- Clearly explain difference between various models and brands.
- Position each vehicle according to customer needs and budget.
- Understand market value of vehicles.
- Conduct professional and informative test drives.
- Be knowledgeable about add-on products.
- Deliver premium buying experience.
- Ensure prompt follow-up and engagement with all prospective and existing customers.
- Resolve customer complaints or concerns in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer, in a transparent and timely manner.
- Uphold company policies and legal requirements during all sales processes.
- Build long-term relationships with customers based on trust and credibility.
- Sell right cars at the right time.
- Identify slow-moving stock and work on strategies to improve turnover.
- Keep up-to-date with current inventory levels, age of stock, and key features.
- Maximize conversion rate from lead to sales.
- Proactively follow up on all sales leads from walk-ins, calls, online inquiries, and referrals.
- Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions in CRM or tracking systems.
- Identify opportunities to sell additional products such as warranties, insurance, accessories, or financing.
SKILLS
- Knowledge of pre-owned vehicle specifications, features, and condition assessment.
- Familiarity with sales processes and customer buying behavior.
- Knowledge of vehicle financing options, insurance, and extended warranties.
- Basic knowledge of CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Sound analytical and solution-oriented problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple leads and tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in documentation.
- Ability to remain professional and composed under pressure.
- Engaging confident and compelling presentation skills for vehicle demonstrations and test drives.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- At least HSC or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in automotive industry
- Experience in automotive sales or a similar sales environment.
- Certification in sales or customer service.
- Proficient with computer applications and CRM systems.
- Proficient in French and English.
