Research Assistant – Part-time or Full-time (Ref: RA) – Five months contract

We are looking for a motivated Research Assistant (RA) to support ecological modelling of the marine environment in Mauritius using the Ecopath with Ecosim (EwE) software suite. The project aims to refine existing models and assess the health and dynamics of marine ecosystems around Mauritius.

Responsibilities

• Assist in refining and calibrating existing Ecopath marine models
• Collect and manage ecosystem and fisheries data
• Run dynamic simulations and policy scenarios using Ecosim
• Contribute to spatial modelling using Ecospace (optional)

Skills You Will Gain

Who Should Apply

• An interest in marine ecology or environmental modelling

• Knowledge of Mauritius’ marine systems (advantageous but not required)
