Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Payroll & Benefits Officer to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll, effective administration of employee benefits, and compliance with statutory obligations.
The role involves managing employee leave records, generating payroll reports and analytics, and overseeing the interface between payroll systems and relevant authorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Process monthly payroll using Vipertex Payroll software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with laws and policies.
- Maintain payroll records, update employee data, and validate reports before payment.
- Coordinate payroll inputs with HC and Finance (e.g. new joiners, resignations, bonuses).
- Administer all leave types and ensure compliance with leave policies.
- Manage employee benefits (medical, pension, insurance) and liaise with external providers.
- Submit statutory returns (PAYE, NPS, NSF, HRDC) and ensure timely remittance.
- Generate payroll reports (headcount, overtime, cost analysis) and support management with analytical data.
- Respond to employee queries related to payroll, deductions, leave, and benefits.
- Prepare employment certificates, and other documentation upon request.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum Higher Diploma in HR, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in payroll administration.
- Proficiency in Vipertex Payroll software is an advantage.
- Strong Excel skills and understanding of statutory requirements.
- High attention to detail, confidentiality, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.”
The selected talent will be responsible for generating the monthly payroll using the Vipertex Payroll Software for three entities operating across four different sites, all of which are connected to a central Time & Attendance system.
