we are recruiting a dynamic and motivated Safety and Health Manager. Who will be able to ensure full compliance with current Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) legislation and regulations.

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with current Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) legislation and regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective OSH policies, procedures, and programs across the organisation.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments, and lead investigations into workplace incidents and accidents.
  • Foster a proactive safety culture throughout the company, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Organize and support health and safety awareness initiatives, training sessions, and accident prevention programs.
  • Deliver and coordinate OSH training courses to employees at all levels.
  • Liaise with the Ministry of Labour’s OSH Department on compliance matters, recommendations, and safety improvements.
  • Oversee machinery safety compliance, ensuring proper examination, certification, and preventive maintenance.
  • Lead Safety and Health Committee meetings, preparing detailed reports for management and relevant authorities.
  • Manage all company safety-related issues and develop emergency preparedness strategies.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute fire drills across all company locations.
  • Ensure that all new or refurbished buildings meet applicable Safety and Health standards and legislative requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a managerial role within the OSH field.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills — capable of engaging teams at all levels.
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive in driving safety initiatives.
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic retail environment.
  • Proven ability to manage Safety & Health matters with professionalism and rigour.
  • Experience in a factory or industrial environment will be considered a strong advantage.
