Our client, a non-profit organisation is seeking to recruit a Human Resources Manager to lead all HR activities for its team from recruitment and retention to staff development and employee relations.
The incumbent will help to attract, keep, and grow the people who make a difference for the children and families they serve.
Responsibilities:
- Promote the organisation as an NGO employer of choice and manage recruitment to bring in people with the skills, values, and commitment to our mission.
- Keep our best people by creating a positive work environment, recognising contributions, and offering clear opportunities for growth.
- Strengthen leadership skills and technical know-how to support professional development and maintain high-quality programmes.
- Be the first point of contact for staff questions and concerns, ensuring a supportive, fair, and positive workplace.
- Make sure our performance systems inspire excellence and reflect the child-centred mission.
- Build a workplace where people feel motivated, respected, and empowered.
- Keep the policies current, transparent, and aligned with best practice.
- Oversee payroll and manage benefits so they are accurate, timely, and well-understood.
- Ensure policies meet legal standards and are clearly communicated to staff.
- Keep accurate records and use HR data to support informed decisions.
Profile:
- University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 7 years of proven HR experience in talent recruitment, development and retention with strong employee relations skills and good understanding of performance management.
- Sound understanding of employment law and HR compliance in Mauritius.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
- High integrity, empathy, and commitment to child welfare.
