Electrician

CEAL Ltd is looking for Electricians (Automobile / Heavy Vehicles) to join its Workshop Department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of the Electrician are described below:

Diagnostics

• Install, maintain, identify faults, and repair electrical wiring in machines and vehicles.
• Diagnose the various electrical systems as per the manufacturers’ guidelines and supervisor’s instructions, for example: the CAN system for faults, charging system, fuel system etc.

• Teamwork and cooperation: Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.

Repairs

• Carry out repairs as per your supervisor’s instructions.
• Learn and acquire skills in your trade.
• Enhance your skills through complex repairs.
• Dealing with low tension circuits.
• Assemble electrical components and performing simple wiring on electrical panels.
• Renew fuses, make and solder conductor joints of all types on low tension systems.
• Any cognate duties.

• Wear safety equipment and work according to the internal procedures.
• Ensure your work space is kept clean and tidy and respect Health & Safety regulations.
• Safeguard yourself and others working with you against any hazards.
• Any incident or accident should be reported immediately to the Management.

REQUIREMENTS:

•	Living in the vicinity of Port Louis is a definite advantage.
•	A minimum of 2-3 working experience in the field.
•	Holder of a valid driving licence (motorcycle or private car)
•	Predisposed to work on different sites all around the island
•	Able to work odd hours
•	Possesses a clean character certificate
•	Be a team player
