The Assistant HR Manager will support the HR Manager in overseeing HR operations and managing a diverse, multinational workforce within the construction sector. The ideal candidate must have solid construction industry experience, strong HR knowledge, and high levels of integrity and trust.

 

 

HR Operations & Administration

  • Support the HR Manager in day-to-day HR operations and administrative tasks.

  • Maintain accurate employee records, HR files, and HRIS systems.

  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and orientation processes.

  • Prepare HR reports and documentation as required.

Workforce Management

  • Manage and support a diverse, multi-national workforce, ensuring fair and consistent HR practices.

  • Support performance management processes including appraisals, disciplinary actions, and employee development plans.

  • Assist in handling employee relations issues with professionalism and confidentiality.

Construction Sector HR Support

  • Apply construction industry knowledge to support HR planning, workforce allocation, and site-based HR requirements.

  • Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to address HR needs and workforce planning.

  • Ensure compliance with construction industry standards, local labor laws, and company policies.

Compliance & Policy

  • Assist in ensuring compliance with local labor laws and regulations.

  • Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

  • Ensure adherence to company policies and ethical standards.

Trust & Integrity

  • Demonstrate high levels of honesty, trustworthiness, and confidentiality.

  • Act as a trusted point of contact for employees and management.

  • Uphold company values and ethical practices at all times.


Requirements / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR, preferably within the construction industry.

  • Strong understanding of HR practices and employment law.

  • Experience managing a multicultural workforce is essential.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.

  • Proficient in MS Office and HRIS systems.
