L’Aventure du Sucre is seeking a motivated and skilled Assistant Cook / Cook to support our culinary team in delivering exceptional food experiences while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and kitchen efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Service & Food Preparation
- Assist the Chef in daily operations, including mise en place and preparation according to technical sheets and kitchen SOPs.
- Liaise with the Chef, waiters, and Restaurant Manager regarding daily reservations, events, and specific client requests.
- Observe and test foods to ensure correct cooking and presentation standards.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through creativity, attention to detail, and dedication.
Cost & Stock Control
- Maintain portion control and minimize food waste to ensure kitchen profitability.
- Practice good stock control, respecting the FIFO system and company/legal requirements.
- Reconcile food requisitions, forecast items to prevent stock-outs, and assist in daily/weekly/monthly inventory.
- Receive, verify, and store products appropriately.
Hygiene & Safety
- Strictly follow food safety regulations and quality control procedures.
- Assist with cleaning duties and maintain a safe, hygienic working environment.
- Adhere to all security and control procedures.
Kitchen Equipment
- Properly use and maintain kitchen equipment, report malfunctions promptly.
- Advise management on breakages and associated maintenance needs.
Personal Involvement
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Chef or Restaurant Manager to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Requirements:
- NTC 3 or any recognized culinary certificate.
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is an advantage, but profiles with strong motivation to learn will be considered.

- Autonomous and able to work independently.
- Analytical with strong problem-solving skills.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Flexible, able to work irregular hours when required.
- Strong customer service orientation.
