The cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and order in the office, washrooms, kitchenette, tea/coffee areas, and boardroom. The role also includes assisting with meeting setups, providing support for refreshments and meals, and monitoring supplies to ensure availability at all times.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Office Cleaning:
Clean and sanitize office areas,corridors including desks, floors, windows, and common areas
Dust furniture, shelves, and equipment
Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors as required
Report any damage or maintenance issues to the supervisor
2. Toilet/Washroom Cleaning:
Clean and disinfect toilets, wash basins, mirrors, and tiles
Refill soap dispensers, toilet paper, paper towels, and other supplies
Ensure toilets and washrooms are hygienic, clean, and free from bad odors
3. Tea/Coffee Area Duties:
Regular cleaning and maintenance of coffee machines
Assist in preparing tea, coffee, and other beverages for staff and visitors
Ensure the tea/coffee area is clean, tidy, and well-stocked at all times
4. Kitchenette Duties:
Ensure the kitchenette is clean, tidy, and well-organized
Wash and put away dishes, cups, and utensils
Refill supplies such as tea, coffee, sugar, milk, and disposable items as needed
Dispose of waste properly and maintain hygiene standards
5. Boardroom / Meal Support Duties:
Assist in setting up plates, glasses, and cutlery in the boardroom for the Director’s breakfast and lunch
Ensure the dining/boardroom area is clean, tidy, and properly arranged before and after meals
6. Supplies Monitoring & Ordering:
Monitor office and washroom supplies, including toilet tissues, dishwasher soap, hand soap, sanitisers, and washing machine soap
Remind and inform the concerned person each month to place orders so that supplies are always available
Report any shortages or issues with supplies to the supervisor
7. General Responsibilities:
Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly
Report any damages, accidents, or shortages of supplies to the supervisor
Take care of company property and maintain equipment in good condition
Perform any other cleaning or support duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications & Experience:
Previous experience in cleaning or office support preferred
Knowledge of hygiene and safety standards
Ability to work independently and responsibly
Holder of a valid certificate of character
Available to work Monday to Friday 7hrs to 16hrs
