Purpose of the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Bar Manager to oversee our bar and pool operations. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional service, create memorable guest experiences, drive revenue, and lead a motivated team — all while showcasing expert knowledge in mixology.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Service Excellence

• Act as a warm and welcoming host to all guests
• Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service and beverages
• Maintain a strong presence on the floor, especially during peak hours
• Handle guest requests, feedback, and complaints with professionalism
• Promote upselling, personalised service (e.g., special occasions), and guest loyalty

Bar Operations & Standards

• Supervise daily operations of the Bar & Pool area
• Guarantee mise-en-place and ensure bar items are fresh, within expiry, and served as per standards
• Implement and monitor hygiene and safety (HACCP) protocols
• Ensure equipment functionality and coordinate with maintenance if needed
• Maintain attractive beverage displays and proper stock levels

Leadership & Team Management

• Train, coach, and support team members to enhance performance and growth
• Foster a team-oriented, respectful, and motivating work environment
• Plan and manage team schedules and rosters
• Lead daily briefings and ensure smooth communication across departments

Sales & Financial Performance

• Drive beverage sales and implement revenue-generating initiatives
• Monitor budgets, control costs, and reduce wastage
• Analyse performance results and take corrective actions when necessary
• Participate in monthly inventories and stock management

Mixology & Beverage Innovation

• Demonstrate deep knowledge of mixology and beverage trends
• Introduce new and creative cocktails aligned with our brand standards
• Share expertise to elevate the overall guest bar experience

Requirements

• Proven experience in bar or beverage management, preferably in a hotel or luxury environment
• Strong knowledge and passion for mixology
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage a team efficiently
• Fluent in English and/or French (additional languages are a plus)
• Knowledge of HACCP and sustainability practices is an advantage
