Accounts Officer

Are you an experienced accounting professional looking to take the next step in your finance career? QBL is recruiting an Accounts Officer to join a well-established and growing organization where precision, integrity, and initiative are valued.

🔍 Key Responsibilities:

• Local and foreign monthly bank reconciliations - QBL, CAB & CD
• Preparation of monthly Schedules: Lease & Loan/Accruals/Prepayments/TDS Payable & Refund
• Calculation of gain/loss on forward contract & Interest on import loan
• Monthly & Annual TDS returns - QBL & CAB
• Extract of Directors benefits on a monthly basis
• Run revaluation on Navision (Bank/Payables/receivables) - QBL & CD
• Utility bills-Post actual and calculation of provisions
• Extract of information on a quarterly basis for controller/CITRIX & reconciliation of intercompany balances with related companies
• F n B Cluster interco - Post/ raise invoices and reconciliation on a monthly basis
• Preparation of yearly information on foreign assets and liabilities for Bank of Mauritius.
  
• Monthly reconciliation of Utilities control accounts, salaries control accounts, sugar tax
  
• To maintain schedule of professional charges monthly
  
• Perform any other cognate duties related to Finance department

✅ What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in an accounting or finance role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Sage, Xero) and MS Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
