As a Baker, you will be responsible for producing a wide range of baked goods. You will ensure that all
products meet our high standards of quality, freshness, and presentation. This role requires a strong
attention to detail, creativity, and a deep understanding of baking techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of products, including breads, pastries, cakes, and cookies.
- Follow and develop recipes to ensure consistent quality and taste.
- Measure and mix ingredients accurately to maintain product standards.
- Monitor and adjust oven temperatures, baking times, and other parameters to achieve desired results.
- Decorate and finish products with precision and creativity.
- Ensure the kitchen and baking area are clean, organised, and meet health and safety standards.
- Maintain inventory levels, monitor supplies, and order ingredients as needed.
- Collaborate with the team to create new recipes and seasonal items.
- Train and mentor junior baking staff.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Baker, with a portfolio of previous work.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain high standards of quality.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Creative and artistic skills for product decoration and presentation.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings weekends, and holidays.
- Culinary degree or baking certification preferred.
- Valid Certificate of character
- Valid food-handlers certificate
