Agriterra is looking for a motivated and hands-on individual to join our team as an Agricultural Worker, with a specific focus on drip irrigation systems in sugarcane fields.

Agriterra is looking for a motivated and hands-on individual to join our team as an Agricultural Worker, with a specific focus on drip irrigation systems in sugarcane fields.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Operate and monitor drip irrigation systems and pumps in the fields.
• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of drip irrigation systems.
• Work on rotating shifts (day and night), including weekends and public holidays, to ensure 24/7 system monitoring.
• Respond to urgent issues outside of normal hours, when required.
• Undergo on-the-job training for at least one year before confirmation into the permanent role.

Candidate Profile

• Hold a Cambridge School Certificate.
• Hold a professional motorcycle license and have access to a motorcycle.
• Be computer literate.

Working Conditions & Requirements

• This role involves working outdoors for extended periods, in varying weather conditions.
• Tasks may include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting irrigation equipment weighing up to 25kg.
• Use of tools and handling of small system components (e.g., tubing, filters, valves) is required.
• Candidates should be comfortable performing manual and field-based work as part of their daily duties.
