Join as an Accountant and be the backbone of our financial success manage operations, drive accurate reporting, and support key business decisions.
Purpose of the role: To manage core accounting operations, month-end and year-end closing, taxation and compliance, budgeting and forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring accurate financial information and insights that support sound business decisions.
Key Outputs:
Operational Effectiveness
- Oversight of daily accounting activities across AR, AP, GL, TB, cost centres and inventory.
- Review of control account, subledger and trial balance reconciliations.
- Preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports in line with Group and IFRS standards.
- Coordination of month-end and year-end closing processes and group reporting packs.
Sustainable Growth- Consolidation of data for annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Review of PO tracking and expenditure reports to support cost management.
- Support for treasury activities and cash flow reviews.
Governance, Risk & Compliance- Preparation and review of VAT calculations and returns.
- Support for corporate tax computations, deferred tax schedules and regulatory documentation.
- Assistance in developing and enforcing internal controls and accounting policies.
Leading & Relationships- Guidance and support to junior accountants.
- Collaboration with Operations, Sales, Procurement and HR for accurate financial reporting.
- Provision of financial information and analysis for investment projects and management decisions.
Requirements: Must be qualified ACCA/bachelor's degree and/or advanced diplomas with senior level audit experience.
Technical Requirements:
- 3 - 5 years of experience, including a track record of 2 years in a technical position.
