The Business Development Manager will work closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing to drive revenue growth across assigned market segments. The role focuses on developing new business, managing key accounts, and promoting the resort in line with brand and group standards.

 

As a Business Development Manager, we rely on you to:

  • Work closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing to develop and implement the annual Sales & Marketing Plan and budget.
  • Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities across Corporate, MICE and Tour Operator segments.
  • Manage and grow assigned key accounts to achieve agreed revenue and room night targets.
  • Plan and conduct regular sales calls, market visits, roadshows and tele-sales activities.
  • Represent the hotel at trade shows, exhibitions, sales missions and promotional events.
  • Organize and participate in familiarization trips, client visits and sales presentations.
  • Handle RFPs, group enquiries and contract negotiations in line with group policies.
  • Maintain accurate client databases, account plans and activity tracking using Delphi/CRM systems.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and provide market intelligence to DOSM.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure seamless coordination for groups and VIP arrivals.
  • Actively follow up on all business leads and assigned projects, providing regular progress updates.
  • Prepare and submit monthly sales activity, expense and performance reports within deadlines.
  • Promote the hotel professionally in assigned markets while upholding brand standards at all times.
  • Build strong internal and external relationships to support long-term business growth.

Qualifications, skills, and experience:

  • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Sales & Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in hotel sales or business development within a luxury or resort environment.
  • Strong knowledge of international markets (Europe/DACH market an advantage).
  • Proven experience in Corporate, MICE and Tour Operator segments.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship-management skills.
  • Strong command of English (spoken and written); additional languages are an advantage.
  • Proficient in MS Office and hotel sales systems (Delphi, CRM tools).
  • Results-driven, proactive and able to work independently.
  • High level of professionalism, organization and attention to detail.
