As an Assistant Cook/ Cook, you will play a vital role in the daily food preparation and production for our internal retail outlets. You will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure efficiency, quality, and consistency in all culinary outputs.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation:
Chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, marinades, and other ingredients as directed by the Head Chef.
Cooking:
Assisting with cooking tasks, such as following recipes, cooking specific dishes, and ensuring proper cooking temperatures.
Kitchen Maintenance:
Washing and sanitizing dishes, equipment, and work surfaces.
Inventory Management:
Assisting with receiving and storing food deliveries, rotating stock, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Food Safety and Hygiene:
Adhering to food safety regulations and hygiene practices, such as proper handwashing and cross-contamination prevention.
Collaboration:
Working effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Other Tasks:
May include assisting with meal service, packing orders, or other tasks assigned by the Head Chef.
