As a Project Engineer – Civil, the job holder will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all civil engineering aspects across IBL Energy’s construction projects, spanning the four segments: photovoltaic, Waste-to-Energy, EMS, and E-motion.

 

Job Summary

As a Project Engineer – Civil, the job holder will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all civil engineering aspects across IBL Energy’s construction projects, spanning the four segments: photovoltaic, Waste-to-Energy, EMS, and E-motion.

The role involves active site supervision, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and engagement with authorities to ensure timely project execution. The job holder is expected to proactively identify and mitigate risks, reduce construction delays, and ensure compliance with design, regulatory, and quality requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Site Supervision:

  • Supervise and monitor civil works on-site to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Assist in site setting out and verification of levels and alignments.
  • Participate in site inspections and ensure proper implementation of construction methodologies.
  • Support and monitor contractors’ performance on civil works.

 Design Coordination & Drawings Management:

  • Review, coordinate, and issue civil drawings for construction.
  • Identify discrepancies in drawings and propose corrective actions.
  • Ensure timely availability of accurate drawings to avoid construction delays.

 Permitting & Regulatory Coordination:

  • Assist in the permitting process and ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Liaise with relevant ministries, authorities, and stakeholders for approvals and follow-ups.
  • Strengthen relationships with authorities to facilitate smooth project execution.

 Cross-Disciplinary Coordination:

  • Coordinate closely with electrical teams to ensure proper integration of civil and electrical works.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates on civil-related progress and challenges.

 Risk & Delay Management:

  • Identify potential risks related to civil work and propose mitigation measures.
  • Actively contributes to reducing delays linked to design, drawings, and site execution.

 Claims & Variations Support:

  • Support the preparation and justification of variation orders and claims related to civil works.
  • Provide technical input and documentation for contractual matters.

 Survey & Technical Support:

  • Participate in LiDAR survey processes and site assessments.
  • Assist in interpreting survey data for design and construction purposes.

 Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project requirements.
  • Maintain effective communication with project teams, consultants, and contractors.

 Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
  • Proven hands-on experience in the construction sector, with a preference for renewable energy or infrastructure developments.
  • Experience in site supervision and coordination of civil works.
  • Familiarity with PV projects and LiDAR/survey processes is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of construction drawings, standards, and permitting processes such as EIA, ESIA, LCP, BLUP, Fire certificate and others.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills with the ability to engage multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-driven mindset.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project management tools.
