Role Overview The Demi Chef de Partie – Pizzaiolo is responsible for preparing pizza dough, toppings, and cooking pizzas to meet quality, taste, and presentation standards while maintaining hygiene and operational efficiency.
Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and toppings according to recipes and hotel standards.
Operate pizza ovens safely and efficiently to produce consistent quality pizzas.
Ensure hygiene, cleanliness, and organisation of the pizza section at all times.
Monitor portion sizes and control ingredient usage to minimise waste.
Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and ordering of pizza ingredients.
Support the Executive Chef and CDP in menu preparation and special pizza offerings.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and operational procedures.
Maintain pizza-making equipment and report any malfunctions.
Coordinate with other kitchen sections to ensure timely service.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff assigned to the pizza section.
Follow hotel grooming, safety, and professional conduct standards.
Assist in special events, banquets, or high-volume service periods.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Executive Chef or CDP.
Previous experience as a Pizzaiolo is preferred.
Culinary training is preferred.
Experience in a professional kitchen environment is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of pizza preparation techniques, dough handling, and baking.
Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and quality presentation.
