Construction Surveyor

As a CS you have to manage the 3 C's: Cost, Contracts, and Control. You have to ensure that a project is financially viable from the first sketch to the final brick. And you have to cater that the project remains profitable for the contractor and stays within the budget of the client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial & Cost Control: Measure works, prepare valuations, cost reports, and cash flow forecasts. 
• Contractual: Understand contract documentation, monitor bonds and guarantees, assist with contractual claims, and provide dispute resolution support.
• Procurement: Advise on procurement strategy, review quotations, negotiate with contractors / subcontractors, and ensure timely and compliant procurement.
• Commercial: Build strong client relationships, assist in post-tender negotiations, and manage commercial risks while optimizing cost and value.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: BSc or Diploma in Quantity Surveying 
• Skills: Strong leadership, strategic thinking, cost control, negotiation, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in a quantity surveying role within the construction industry
