The Bar Waiter supports bar operations by serving beverages, assisting bartenders, and maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient bar environment in line with hotel service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and courteously to guests.

• Assist bartenders with bar setup, closing procedures, and daily operations.

• Ensure bar counters, tables, and seating areas are clean and well maintained.

• Restock beverages, glassware, and bar supplies as required.

• Collect empty glasses and clear bar areas promptly.

• Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety at all times.

• Interact with guests in a friendly, professional, and attentive manner.

• Support upselling initiatives and promotional activities when required.

• Report any shortages, breakages, or maintenance issues to supervisors.

• Ensure responsible service of alcohol in compliance with regulations.

• Follow hotel policies, grooming standards, and professional conduct guidelines.

• Assist during peak hours, events, and special functions.

• Coordinate with service staff and kitchen teams for smooth operations.

• Comply with food safety and health regulations at all times.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the F&B Manager or Bar Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience in bar or food service is preferred.

• Experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Good customer service and communication skills.

• Ability to work well within a team environment.

• Reliable, attentive to detail, and able to work in a fast-paced setting.
