Senior Accountant

SL(MRU) Limited, a subsidiary of Silver Levene (the largest ACCA practice in the UK having grown to over 85 staff and 18 Partners based in London) is recruiting a high-calibre Senior Accountant. The office is based in Quatre Bornes.

Job Description

• Prepare management accounts from information and documentation received from clients, ensuring that all relevant deadlines are met;
• Prepare financial statements with relevant notes as per FRS 102, ensuring compliance with corporate and statutory requirements;
• Balance sheet reconciliation, including maintenance of fixed asset register, VAT, prepayments and accruals, investments and loans amongst others;
• Prepare accurate and well elaborated working paper files;
• Help to identify, search and resolve complex accounting issues;
• To coach and assist junior staff members within the team;
• Training of new joiners to the team as and when required;
• Review of accounts and accounting tasks computed by junior staff;
• Communication with UK office regarding queries amongst others;
• Advise line manager of any outstanding issues and provide timely updates regarding accounts in progress.

Qualification and Experience

• ACCA qualified or partly qualified and/or any other equivalent qualifications.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience.
