Overview: We are looking for a dedicated Account Officer to join our financial team. You will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and transparency, supporting day-to-day accounting operations. You will help ensure smooth financial processes within a vibrant tech environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Process supplier invoices, staff expense claims, and customer receipts.
  • Assist in preparing monthly reports and year-end accounts.
  • Support preparation and submission of VAT, TDS and tax returns.
  • Maintain accurate ledgers and fixed asset registers.
  • Assist in monthly payroll preparation and statutory payments (PAYE, NPF/NSF, CSG etc.).
  • Prepare schedules and support documents for audits.
  • Maintain proper filing of accounting records (digital and physical).
  • Liaise with vendors, customers, and internal departments to resolve queries.
  • Assist in implementing and improving accounting processes for efficiency.
  • Perform daily and weekly reconciliation of merchant accounts to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
  • Reconcile various financial reports as well as bank statements, to verify accuracy and completeness of financial data
  • Conduct regular reconciliation of digital wallets and other payment platforms to ensure all funds are accounted for and transactions are correctly posted
  • Monthly Tracking of VAT Reports

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance (or currently pursuing ACCA).
  • 2–3 years’ relevant experience.
  • Good proficiency in MS Excel; exposure to QuickBooks or SAGE is an advantage.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
