Weighbridge Officer

Ensure adherence to all the safety procedures/requirements while executing your duties. Safeguard the company against the loss of revenue or stocks by ensuring that all trucks in and out of the Plant are weighed appropriately and report any exceptions to your supervisor immediately.

Your Role:

• To control the weight of cement, bulk and bags delivered to customers.
• Ensure that the net weight of cement tallies with the number of bags specified on the delivery slip and to resolve any abnormalities in coordination with the Terminal Supervisors.
• Ensure that transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner to avoid delays or backlogs on the weighbridge.
• Planning of bulk cement done on the eve of delivery and confirmation given to client on time frame of delivery.
• To liaise with customers in case of delays in deliveries.
• Ensuring the net weight of cement on the vehicles tallies with the number of bags specified on delivery slip.
• Adhere to Lafarge Health & Safety policies and procedures.

  Your Profile:

• HSC with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar environment, a certificate in planning or logistics will be a good advantage.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2000.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety Policies & Procedures.
• Computer literate.
• Ready to work odd hours.
