Position Summary The F&B Waiter ensures the highest standards of hospitality and guest service in the hotel’s restaurants, bars, and outlets.

 

Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence

  • Welcome guests warmly and escort them to their tables.

  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.

  • Serve meals and beverages in accordance with hotel standards.

  • Ensure tables, side stations, and service areas are properly set up, clean, and well maintained.

  • Check all cutlery, crockery, glassware, and service equipment before use; report and minimize breakages.

  • Follow hygiene, grooming, and safety procedures as per hotel SOPs.

  • Attend daily briefings, training sessions, and departmental meetings.

Guest Service & Satisfaction

  • Provide attentive, courteous, and personalized service to all guests.

  • Anticipate guest needs and handle requests or complaints promptly, escalating when necessary.

  • Maintain guest satisfaction by ensuring a professional and friendly atmosphere.

  • Inform and guide guests about menu items, daily specials, promotions, and hotel services.

  • Encourage guest feedback and communicate suggestions to management.

Financial Contribution

  • Promote and upsell menu items, beverages, and hotel promotions.

  • Ensure accurate billing and cash handling procedures.

  • Maintain proper records of beverage stock and report discrepancies.

  • Assist in controlling costs by minimizing waste and breakages.

Teamwork & Growth

  • Work closely with colleagues and support other departments when required.

  • Maintain punctuality, discipline, and professionalism at all times.

  • Participate in training programs to enhance skills and service quality.

  • Contribute positively to a respectful, supportive, and service-oriented team culture

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum SC qualification or equivalent.

  • Previous hotel or F&B service experience preferred.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Passion for hospitality and guest service.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

  • Honest, reliable, and well-groomed with high personal hygiene standards.
