The Trainee QHSE Officer will undergo a structured training program providing hands-on learning in quality hands-on learning in quality, health, safety, and environmental management. The role is designed as a development pathway leading towards a fully qualified QHSE Officer position.

 

Health & Safety Compliance:

  • Assist in workplace inspections, risk assessments, and audits.
  • Support enforcement of occupational health and safety (OHS) policies.
  • Help track incidents and corrective actions.
Quality Assurance & Control:
  • Support implementation and monitoring of quality systems (ISO, FSSC, customer-specific standards).
  • Assist in reviewing SOPs and production records.
Environmental Compliance:
  • Monitor waste management and sustainability initiatives.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Training & Awareness:
  • Support QHSE training sessions, toolbox talks, and inductions.
  • Maintain accurate training records.
Incident & Risk Management:
  • Assist in reporting, investigation, and analysis of incidents and near-misses.
  • Contribute to risk registers and corrective action follow-ups.
Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain QHSE records, SOPs, and policies.
  • Support preparation of management and audit reports.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify areas for improvement and suggest actions to enhance safety, quality, and compliance

The job holder should ideally possess:

-        Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field (Fresh graduates encouraged).

-        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

-        Good communication and reporting skills.

-        Eagerness to learn and actively participate in QHSE initiatives.
