Technician

To perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of forklift trucks and material handling equipment, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine servicing and preventive maintenance on forklifts (diesel, electric, LPG).
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
• Repair or replace faulty components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and control systems.
• Perform safety inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate service records, job cards, and parts usage logs.
• Respond to breakdowns and provide on-site support when required.
• Collaborate with the parts department to ensure timely availability of spares.
• Keep the workshop clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians or trainees.

Job Requirements

• Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering.
• Proven experience in forklift or heavy equipment maintenance (2+ years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of internal combustion engines, electric motors, hydraulics, and electronics.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and service manuals.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license (forklift license is a plus).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
