The role involves maintaining a fleet of battery-operated forklifts, stackers, reach trucks, scissor lifts, and compressors to ensure their optimal electrical performance. The technician will work collaboratively with mechanics to keep equipment running efficiently around the clock.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct servicing, predictive, and preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
  • Perform electrical, mechanical, hydraulic diagnostics and breakdown maintenance.
  • Provide recommendations on replacement and purchase of spare parts.
  • Work alongside mechanics and assist in mechanical & hydraulic interventions.
  • Offer feedback on mechanical & electrical failures, suggesting solutions.
  • Collaborate with the team and Head of Department (HOD) to develop cost optimization strategies.
  • Maintain detailed reports/status updates for the HOD regarding daily allocated and planned tasks.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Possess a Diploma in Automotive or Forklift Electrical Systems from a recognized institution such as MITD.
  • Strong understanding of electrical diagrams, wiring, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of motors, controllers, drives, relays, contactors, sensors, and batteries.
  • Willingness to work odd hours when required.
  • Excellent attitude, behavior, writing, and communication skills.
  • Valid driving license is compulsory.
