About the opportunity

The Solutions Specialist is responsible for assisting Implementation project teams to deliver Dayforce configuration that follow best practices, providing limited customer support to clients that are awaiting implementation of their Dayforce product, and delivering long-term solutions to fix configuration gaps identified by Dayforce customers post go-live that meet the documented customer requirements in the statement of work (SOW). Rework solutioning includes confirming and/or gathering requirements, identifying data and configuration issues, and architecting a scalable and robust solution. The Solutions Specialist must ensure timely completion of these projects across a variety of Dayforce modules and ensure the solutions provided are aligned to customer’s needs. Responsibilities also include documenting implementation process gaps and incorporating best practices. Additionally, the Solutions Specialist works with internal teams across the organization to improve implementation quality and minimize rework post go-live.

What you’ll get to do

  • Confirm, gather, understand and document customer requirements
  • Consult customers on various options to address business requirements by:
  • Leveraging best practices
  • Considering downstream effects of configuration choices
  • Applying deep understanding of data flow in Dayforce and 3rd party applications
  • Write SQL code to identify, troubleshoot and fix data as well as configuration issues in the customer’s Dayforce instance
  • Understand, troubleshoot and modify XML and XSLT code
  • Project Management
  • Create and follow a project plan using effort estimation, outline action items, measure progress, make adjustments and follow the plan through to completion
  • Provide customers with significant and timely updates
  • Collaborate with customers, Ceridian contacts and 3rd party vendors to conduct thorough testing to deliver a complete and high-quality solution
  • Understand and adhere to Ceridian internal business processes to champion customer success
  • Demonstrate product expertise/knowledge of the Dayforce application and how various modules interact with and affect each other
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Development, Implementation and Support teams to identify gaps, implement processes and tooling initiatives to improve implementation quality

Skills and experience we value  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant software/computer related fields
  • Proficiency with SQL and an understanding of relational database systems
  • Superior communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
    • Previous client support, consulting and/or project management experience
    • French language skills
    • Technical knowledge of SQL, XML and XSLT
