We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Regional Manager - Indian Ocean Islands (ex-Mauritius) to drive profitable growth, market expansion, and brand leadership across the Indian Ocean islands (Ex-Mauritius).

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full markets P&L, including budget, forecast and cost control to ensure sustainable business growth whilst maximising ROI on trade investments
  • Analyse market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities and adapt strategies to local market dynamics
  • Identify market opportunities, define and execute market strategies to drive revenue growth, volume growth, market share and profitability across all territories
  • Lead end-to-end Commercial and business development operations across Sales, Distribution, and Trade Marketing to achieve revenue and profitability targets
  • Build market position and drive continuous improvement and innovation in go-to-market models to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency
  • Drive expansion across channels, including key account, modern trade, traditional trade and emerging e-commerce platforms
  • Oversee pricing strategies, promotions, and trade investments to ensure market penetration and maximize ROI while remaining competitive in diverse economies
  • Build and manage relationships with Stakeholders, Suppliers, Key accounts, Distributors, Service Providers and Retail partners to maximize in-market execution
  • Develop and optimize distributor networks and route-to-market strategies across geographically dispersed island markets
  • Coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure product availability
  • Manage and develop high-performing teams; set targets, monitor KPIs, and drive performance excellence
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, import/ export and trade requirements, and company governance standards across all markets
Job requisites:
  • Degree in Business Management / Marketing or any other equivalent qualification
  • Above 10 years of experience and at least 5 years’ experience in a Management Commercial/ Marketing role in FMCG
  • Proven experience managing or operating within regional/multi-country markets, preferably across island or emerging markets is mandatory
  • Experience / Exposure in both Trade & Marketing functions will constitute an advantage
  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, influencing and interpersonal skills
  • Client & result oriented with ability to maintain high standard of service level
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams with a high degree of business acumen
  • Ability to work in diverse and different market / environment
  • Willing to take short to long-term assignments abroad
